Recoverist Curators: Final Tour

25 Jun 2026

Join Annie, Anastasia and Dom, our Recoverist curators, for the closing tour of this landmark exhibition.

What happens when the act of curating becomes an act of cultural and social activism? Recoverist Curators: Reimagining the World We Live In has spent the last year informing that question. With, the exhibition now entering its final weeks, you are invited to a last public tour on Thursday 25 June, from 6-7pm.

This tour is an opportunity to directly experience the Whitworth’s collection through a Recoverist lens: activist, inclusive, and framed by collective lived experience.

Each artwork was selected and reinterpreted for speaking about recovery – not as a finite end point, but as a social and cultural living process.

This event is for all art lovers seeking depth and enlightenment, including those in recovery looking for solidarity. If you’re culturally curious and believe in art as a force for positive social change this is for you.
